Chengdu Nyingchi Chengdu Flight

One scheduled flight between Chengdu and Tibet's Nyingchi each day is added to meet the demand of the peak tourist season. It operates every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight leaves the Chengdu Shuangliu Airport at around 7:00am. and arrives at the Nyingchi Milin Airport at 9:00am., and then flies back to Chengdu at 10:00am. Now, the seat occupancy rate of the Chengdu Nyingchi flight is over 80 percent, thus making the route the second golden route to enter Tibet following the Chengdu-Lhasa flight.
Nyingchi Milin Airport, is situated in the valley of Yarlung Zangbo River in the Southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, surrounded by over 4000m high mountains enveloped by clouds and fogs throughout the year. Nyingchi Airport is known as "the world's most difficult airport for planes to reach".
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is seated in the center of Shuanxi Plain and is 16km southwest to the downtown Chengdu. First built in 1938, it has 69 domestic airlines and 23 international airlines. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has become the biggest airport in southwest China.
