Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Lhasa
Arrive at Lhasa. Pick up and drive to Lhasa City. Hotel check in.

Day 02 Lhasa(B)
You will be gathered by your local Tibetan guide from your hotel on the appointed time, and get seated in the bus shared with other tourists. In your first day of sightseeing on this high land, you will be taken to visit Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkor Street. The stunning Potala Palace, built in 637 AD by Songtsen Gampo, was the former winter residence for the Dalai Lamas. Jokhang Temple built in 7th century and located at the heart of old town in Lhasa, is the center of Tibetan Buddhism. The circuit around it called Barkhor street, which is a good place to purchase souvenirs.

Day 03 Lhasa(B)
Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Ganden and the Sera. Ganden Monastery is the largest of the six major monasteries of Buddhism's Gelugpa sect. In addition to its magnificent architecture and religious importance, there is an extremely fabulous view on top of the Ganden Wangpo Hill. Kichu Valley is behind Ganden monastery, and we suggest visitors hike around the monastery and for an exquisite bird's-eye view of the valley. In the afternoon you will explore the Sera Monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard in the afternoon section.
Day 04 Lhasa / Yamdrok Lake / Gyantse / Shigatse(B)
Morning, drive up to Kambala Pass (4794m), you will have a glimpse of the tranquil turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok below; one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet. Far in the distance you'll spot the towering massif Mt. Nojin Kangtsang (7191 m). Then short stop at Karola Glacier (5100m). After that, arrive at Gyantse Town and have a outside view of the famous Pelkhor Monastery, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Late afternoon drive to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day 05 Shigatse / Sakya / Lhatse(B)
Morning, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular Tombs of Panchen Lamas, do the monastery kora which provides you a great view of the whole Shigatse city. Late morning drive to visit Sakya Monastery which is the main monastery of Sakyapa sect, houses around the monastery are also in a typical gray color. Hike around the monastery northern ruins. Overnight at Lhatse.
Day 06 Lhatse / Tingri (Shegar) / Rongbuk Monastery(B)
Drive westwards the Friendship way to Tingri via Lhatse. There is about 90km bumpy road from Tingri to Rongbuk. From Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the rapids river and high mountains. If it is in clear whether, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more, such as: Mt. Lhotse(8516m), Mt. Everes(8848m), Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m), Mt Mayalu(8463m). Sunset at Mt.Everest is highlight of today. Overnight at Rongbuk Monastery Guesthouse (Dorm Bed) or local tent guesthouse.
Day 07 Rongbuk / Evrest Base Camp / Zhangmu
Early in the morning to see the sunrise from Rongpuk then to view Mt. Everest. It is fabulous and splendid. After walking arrive the place get on the local bus then use half of an hour arrive at Everest Base camp( Or you also can trekking to Base Camp around 1.5-2 hours one way. It's interesting and much warmer, but hard to breathe). Hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the splendid- Mt. Everest. Then late in the afternoon around 13:00 go down from E.B.C back to Shegar. Then you will go west to Zhangmu with our tour guide. Overnight in Zhangmu.
Day 08 See you off at Nepalese Bolder(B)
Our Guide will drop you off at next morning at the border bridge, You are kindly required to hike on your own to cross the border bridge which is 50ms long, then check in Nepal side, you can get the Nepal visa upon arrival with 30USD, please prepare one photo at passport size to get Nepal Visa. Next step, you need to find a car or bus towards Kathmandu, 50ms ahead from border bridge,dezens of car or bus are parking here to pick up travelers; 3000 Nepali Rupee for a taxi rental to Kathmandu(50USD), 50 Nepali Rupee(Appro.1USD) for a bus seat. End tour at Nepalese Border.
