Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet at Kathmandu airport by us and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu (B/L/D)
Whole day visit Swayambhunath Pagoda, Swayambhunath Temple, Buddhanikantha Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, back to hotel after visit. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu / Paro (B/L/D)
Today, you catch your early morning flight to Paro, Bhutan, through the Himalayas – perhaps one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. You may spot Mt. Everest. Bhutan lies in the pristine heart of the eastern Himalayas. Your guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing in Paro. Today's sightseeing in Paro valley includes, visit to Ta Dzong, the National Museum which in the past served as watch tower for the Paro Dzong. Then walk down the trail to visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Also en route visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight at Paro.
Day 04: Paro / Taktsang Temple / Thimphu (B/L/D)After breakfast, walk to visit the Taktsang Temple, which is the most famous temple in Bhutan. In the afternoon drive to Thimphu, the modern day capital of Bhutan. Visit some handicraft shops. Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 05: Thimphu (B/L/D)
Today's full day of sightseeing in Thimphu valley includes, visit to National Library, Painting School, Traditional Medicine Institute, Memorial Chorten, Trashichhodzong, Handicrafts Emporium. Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 06: Thimphu / Wangduephodrang / Punakha (B/L/D)After breakfast, drive to Wangduephodrang, with a stop en route for tea break at Dochu La (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get a spectacular view of the Himalayas. After lunch, will continue drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, and visit Punakha Dzong, which is noteworthy both for being one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan and also for having been built by the first Shabdrung in 1,637. Overnight at Punakha.
Day 07: Punakha / Gantey / Wangduephodrang (B/L/D)
Today, you will visit Gantey. Passing through dense forests of oak trees and rhododendrons and arrive at Gantey Village, where you will visit Gantey Gompa, the only Nyingmapa Monastery in Western Bhutan. From Gantey, you can see the picturesque Black Mountain range as well as Phobjika Valley, the winter habitat of the black necked cranes. In the evening stroll through the town of Wangduephodrang and visit the shops.
Overnight at Wangduephodrang.
Day 08: Wangduephodrang / Paro (B/L/D)Morning, set out for Paro with a stop in Thimphu for lunch and a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum. In the afternoon, will continue drive to Paro and visit a traditional farmhouse, enjoy a hot stone bath and a typical Bhutanese dinner at the local family. Overnight at Paro.
Day 09: Paro / Kathmandu (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport to fly back to Kathmandu. Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square in the afternoon. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 10: Depart from Kathmandu (B)
Free till departure and transfer to airport to connect onward flight.
