Shigatse is one of the most important cities in Tibet and plays a significant role in the local culture and politics. Shigatse is one of the world's highest cities, even 200 meters higher than the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, featuring the beautiful high plateau scenery. The long history gives Shigatse a strong cultural heritage, especially in respect of Buddhism, like the 600 year-old majestic Tashilhunpo Monastery. And unique pictures can be expected here.

Question:Anything needs to be aware when I'm doing a photography tour in Tibet?
Answer:It's not going to be an issue for the most part of Tibet. But one thing which needs to take notice is that in some temples it’s not allowed to take photos inside, however, some are available but you need to pay extra fee for taking photos or videos. So it’s better to figure it out before any photo actions.
