Question Source>Shigatse Shenhu Hotel :This was the hotel our tour company itourstibet had us in. We were pleasantly surprised as it was very nice. High end of 3 star I would say. Maybe it was after having been to the EBC everything was luxury after that. In either event, we found the rooms clean and beds comfortable. The restaurant (happy village) was way overpriced for the breakfast buffet (50Y each) and was a real nothing. But the dinner there was really good. Not sure if its owned by the hotel or not. The location of the hotel is a little aways from everything else so unless you want to take a cab to the pedestrian street area you are pretty much stuck here.

Question Source>Yangzi Hotel in Shigatse :Our tour group stayed here for one night in mid-July. It compared well with the hotel we’d left in Lhasa (Tibet Hotel). With its colourfully decorated lobby, bar area and restaurant, the entrance impresses guests on arrival. The selection at breakfast was good if you’re used to, and happy with, Chinese/Tibetan food, but for those wanting western style food items the choice was rather restricted. The room was clean and comfortable, but I couldn’t find any English language channels on the TV. Anyway, this hotel is not bad.

Question Source>Tibet Join in Group Tour :I want to join the Join-in Group Tour and have a few questions as follow: 1) To join the 1st April 2011 tour, when is the deadline to submit booking? 2) What is the usual number of tourists per group? 3) Are your vehicles air-conditioned? 4) Are your guides Tibetan? Waiting for your reply.
Answer: Considering the time we need to apply the Tibet Permit and book hotels for you, we suggest you book the join in tour at least one month before the departure time. 2. Our join in tours are small group tours with 8-12 tourists. 3. Yes. All of our vehicles are clean, good-conditioned, with A/C and skilled driver and only for foreign tourists. 4. Most of our tour guide are local tibetans.
Question Source>Education Hotel :It may be good for Shigatse, but this one doesn't stand out in the least. Small rooms with odd blankets. No breakfast included. Couldn't find coffee anywhere. Kind of feels like it was the top hotel there 10 years ago and just got forgotten. Wish we would have stayed in Gyantse -- not that the hotels would have been better, just a little more interesting town. No wireless internet.
Answer: Thank you for shanring your experience of staying in Education Hotel. That would be a great help for our clients to know what Shigatse Hotel is like.
Question Source>Zhangmu Hotel :Before posting my actual review I need to point out that the choice of accommodation in this border town on the Tibetan-Nepali border is very limited. This is probably one of the better hotels around, but in any other place I wouldn't give it the light of day! The only thing going for the room is the stunning view from the bay window down the valley and towards the border! Again a place only good to spend a night while on route but not recommended for longer stay!
Answer: Thank you for shanring your experience of staying in Zhangmu Hotel. That would be a great help for our clients to know what Zhangmu Hotel is like.
Question Source>Gyangtse Hotel :This is the best hotel in Gyantse, but a terrible and horrible one. The property is very old and outdated. The room is smelly, window pane dirty, very hard beds, dirty bathroom, erratic hot water, dark and eerie corridors. There's no elevator, so if you don't want to climb up the steps at 4000m AMSL, you will be better off staying on Level 1. You actually don't have to stay overnight at Gyantse; Xigatse is just 1.5 hour away and has better hotels.

Question Source>Chamdo Hotel :Just backed. Although there are not a lot of places to stay in Chamdo, there are several Chamdo hotels that do exist. Chamdo is less developed than other areas in Tibet. So Chamdo Hotel is kind of the best local hotel. The ordinary rooms are comfortable and pretty good value

Question Source>Tombs of Tibetan Kings :During our visit to the Tombs of Tibetan Kings, a local Tibetan boy took us to a hillside of the Tombs of Tibetan Kings with a single stone lion carving overlooking the nearby valley. The view was awesome, however, the lion was placed not facing the beautiful valley view. It was facing uphill towards a series of caves. To get there, you just have to ask the locals.
Answer: Thank you for sharing your Tibet travel experience with us. Tombs of Tibetan Kings is one of popular Tibet attractions and top things to do in Tibet. Your comments will be a great help for those who plan their Tibet tours.
