Itinerary (B: Breakfast, L: Lunch, D: Dinner)

Day 01: Arrive in Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, your guide will meet you at airport and sent you to your hotel for rest.

Day 02: Beijing / Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will take a flight to Lhasa. After arrival at Gonggar Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide. Then you will be driven to Lhasa and have a rest at your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 03: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit Norbulingka Park and the Sera Monastery. Afterwards you will then visit the Potala Palace, constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of united Tibet. Later you will visit a Tibetan family and then be taken back to your hotel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 04: Lhasa (B/L/D)
Today you will visit the Jokhang Temple and the bazaar at Barkhor Street. Afterwards you will be taken to the Carpet Factory and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. Finally you will see Drepung Monastery, constructed in 1416. The second through fourth Dalai Lamas once lived here. Afterwards you will be driven back to your hotel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 05: Lhasa / Yamdrok Yumtso Lake / Gyangtse (B/L/D)
In the morning you will leave Lhasa and drive to Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. Then you will drive over two of the highest passes in Tibet, Kambala Pass at 4,794m and Karola Pass at 5,010m above sea level. When you arrive at Gyangtse, you will visit Palkor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa. In the evening you will be brought back to a local hotel for the rest of the evening.

Day 06: Gyangtse / Shigatse (B/L/D)
Today you will drive to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Upon arrival, you will visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, built in 1447 by the Panchen Lama. In the evening you will be brought to a local hotel to rest.

Day 07: Shigatse / Shegar (B/L/D)
In the morning you will drive to Shegar, also called the new Tringri and cross over the highest pass on the way to Shegar, Gyatsola Pass, at 5,220m above sea level. Upon arrival at Shegar, you will stay in a local hotel for the remainder of the evening.

Day 08: Shegar / Zhangmu (B/L/D)
You will leave Shegar in the morning and drive to Zhangmu. On the way to the city, you will have beautiful views of Mt. Everest and cross over a few high passes, Lalung-La and Nyalam Passes. When you arrive at Zhangmu you will be brought to a local hotel for the evening.

Day 09: Zhangmu / Kodari / Kathmandu (B/L/D)
After eating breakfast, you will drive to the Nepal-Tibet border at Kodari. A Nepalese tour guide will then meet you and accompany you to your drive to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be brought to your hotel to rest and relax for the evening.

Day 10: Kathmandu (B/L/D)
Today you will have a private local tour guide give you a tour of Kathmandu. Then you will return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 11: Depart from Kathmandu (B)
You will be driven to the airport in the morning and leave Kathmandu.
