  Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa Sincere greetings & airport-hotel transfer.
  

Upon your arrival, your local tour guide will pick you up at the airport/railway station and escort you to your hotel in Lhasa. The rest of the day is for you to take a good rest so as to adapt yourself to the high altitude of Lhasa.

  Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, Barkhor Street. (B)
  

In the morning, go to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, you will experience its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens (stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala, etc. . In the afternoon, pay a visit to the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple, built during Songtsen Gonpo's reign by princess Wencheng of Tang Dynasty, 647 A.D, and its famous Barkor Kora. (Notice: the sequence of sightseeing might be changed basing on the reservation of Potala Palace).

  Day 3 Lhasa Sightseeing Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery. (B)
  

Today, you will visit two important monasteries in Lhasa, the Drepung and the Sera. Drepung monastery is situated at the foothill of a mountain and was founded by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was once home of 10000 monks and Ganden podrang in Drepung is famous for it was the government centre during the fifth dalai lama and later moved to the famous potala palace during the fifth dalai lama. After having lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa's disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is its Buddhist Scriptures debating held in the courtyard mostly around 6:00 - 7:30 in the afternoon.

  Day 4 Lhasa - Yamdrotso lake - Gyangtse - Shigatse Yamdrok-Tso Lake, Karola Glacier, Kubum Monastery. (B)
  

In early morning, drive across Kambala Pass to the dazzlingly turquoise green Yamdrok-Tso Lake, one of the three great holy lakes in Tibet. After having an eyeful of the stunning scenery, move on to Gyantse, one of Tibet's most traditional towns. En route you will also enjoy spectacular vistas of Karo-la Glacier roadside at 4960m. Another important attraction for today is Kubum monastery in Gyantse. The Kubum monastery has a 35m-high chorten (stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome. Then we move on to the second biggest city of Tibet, Shigatse, the area spiritually hosted by Panchan Lama.

  Day 5 Shigatse - Shegar Tashilunpo Monastery. (B)
  

In the morning visit Tashilunpo monastery of Gelug Sect, the seat of the Panchen Lama built in 1447 and one of the six grand monasteries in Tibet. The monastery houses a giant statue of the Maitreya Buddha, the biggest gilded statue of Maitreya (Buddha of the future) in China, and a tomb of the 4th Panchen Lama containing masses of jewels and gold. In Tibet Buddhism, Panchen Lama is just the reincarnation of Maitreya Buddha. Today 600 monks live in the monastery. After the visit drive along the south route to enjoy wonderful landscapes on the way. In the south the snowy magnificent Himalayas rise, in the north line up the summits of the Trans Himalaya. Afterwards drive on the Sino-Nepal Highway to Shegar. On the way get across the Tsuo La (4,500 m) and the Lhakpa La (5,220 m). If it is clear, the snow-covered summits of Everest and Lhotse can be see.

  Day 6 Shegar - Rongphu Monastery - EBC Rongbuk Monastery, Everest Base Camp.
  

In the morning visit the Rongbuk Monastery. With an elevation of 5,050 meters above sea level, it deserves to be the highest monastery in the world. It was said the Rongbuk Monastery had been built as early as the time of the Fifth Dalai Lama. Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, is often referred to as 'the third pole on earth'. Its legendary status holds a fascination to many trekkers and mountaineers. This hike to Everest's Base Camp is challenging, but the experience of reaching the heart of the pyramidal peak will certainly be exciting, rewarding, and unforgettable. About 6 hours will be spent on the trekking.

  Day 7 Rongbuk - Cho Oyu Base Camp Drive to Cho Oyu.
  

Drive to the foot of the Cho Oyu (8,201 m) by 4-wheeled vehicle. Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world, lies in the Himalayas and is 20 km west of Mount Everest, at the border between China and Nepal. Cho Oyu means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan.

  Day 8 Cho Oyu Base Camp - Paiku Tso Lake Shishapangma, Paiku Tso Lake.
  

Go to see the Shishapangma (8.046 m) today. Shishapangma is the only peak over 8,000 that lies completely on the territory of China's Tibet. It is the 14th Highest Peak in the World. You can get an ideal view of Shishapangma from Paiku Tso Lake. Set up the camp by the Paiku Tso Lake

  Day 9 Paiku Tso - Gyirong Town Drive to Gyirong Town.
  

Peiku-tso is an ideal place for tourists to enjoy the stunning reflection of Mt. Shishapangmang and listen to the faint whisper of Yarlung Tsangpo, which is 60 kilometers away from Peku Tso. It is these two features that truly distinguish Peiku Tso from other lakes in Tibet. You may be reluctant to leave here, but our destination of today is the Gyirong Town.

  Day 10 Gyirong Port-Kathmandu Drive to Kathmandu. (B)
  

In the early morning, you will cross the border - Gyirong Port, our service ends at the border. Your Nepalese driver will pick you up at the border and then drive to Kathmandu.
